TRAINERS' EXAM PREP CLASS
Typical Outline for a Friday-Sunday class

CLASS INFORMATION: Friday  8:00AM to 3:00 PM; Saturday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM and Sunday 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Participants will be emailed a confirmation email and updates beginning two weeks prior to first class day regarding parking and other newsworthy items.

TUITION: $299 for those that register early and $349 within 2 weeks of class.  Included will be your personal National Trainers' Exam Study Guide notebook with 2019 updates, a jump drive (or CD) with narrated  Power Point shows that complement the study guide, the Racing Official Accreditation Program (ROAP) DvD entitled "Duties of Racing Officials" plus practice supplies that will be yours to take home. Participants will be given access to private online practice trainers' exams.
Class size limited to 12 so register early to guarantee your spot.  (2017 June class in Lexington sold out.)

Racing Terminology
Health check - Coggins & Health Paper rules
Digestive System - Ulcer medication rules
Respiratory System - Bleeding & Lasix rule
Leg Anatomy, Leg Exam & common racehorse injuries
Bandaging evaluation

Day 2
Morning routine, track rules, track layout & distances
People to know, duties of racing officials, "the 3 lists"
Racing tack identification and rules regarding use
Entry procedures, condition book, coupled entries
Preference date system, overnights, extras
Entering horses with correct weight
Jockey, Jockey Agent, Apprentice Jockey

Day 3
Entering Horses with Correct Weight Exercises
Claiming and claiming rules
Other medication rules
Review
Discuss Practice test 
Questions and Answers
Evaluation
